Sony Xperia Z2 and Z3 users have been receiving Android Lollipop updates. The roll outs may be in different stages and not all users have yet received it, these devices are gradually making the most of Android Lollipop. But Xperia Z users will have to wait some time before they can start getting an update.
News has it that the Japanese tech giant has been planning to roll out Android 5.0 L to Xperia Z from an early stage. Xperia Z3, Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact are already in the Android Lollipop rollout schedule. Xperia Z2 and Z2 Tablet users will be receiving it within a couple weeks. Even Xperia C3 and Xperia T2 Ultra are scheduled to receive Android 5.0 updates.
Sony released a teaser on the Xperia Google+ profile which indicated that Xperia Z will be receiving an Android L update. Xperia Z Ultra, Z1 and Z1 Compact have been announced through Sony’s Twitter profile that they will be receiving a simultaneous update.
The Xperia C3 and T2 Ultra are the only Xperias outside the Z series which are receiving the v5.0 of Android. But the Lollipop update is not just the only big news coming from the Japanese company’s stable. It is also geared for a launch of its Xperia Z4 tab. Sony had unveiled the tablet recently. But the Z4 tablet is said to be the last device of its kind from the company.
Xperia Z4 has received positive previews from critics. It is expected to be a direct competitor to the iPad, but could also thwart Samsung Galaxy tabs. It will be launched with Android 5.0 L and could feature a 21MP primary camera and a 2-GHz quad-core Cortex A57 CPU. Keep checking this section.
