The photos of Sony Xperia Z4 have already made their way up the grapevine, and if they are true, then Xperia fans have an even more beautiful handset coming their way. It may not have any “edge” but it is still going to give a tough fight to the likes of the “Edge” and iPhones.
Sony has not made any official announcement but the web already knows a lot about the device. The new Xperia will have a 5.2-inch display with a staggering pixel density of 565 ppi. This is almost equivalent to that of the Samsung Galaxy S6. The iPhone 6 has almost half that pixel density.
Speculations are high that it will be based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chip and have at least 4GB memory. The CPU could clock up to 2GHz. The Galaxy S6 features 3GB RAM and the iPhone 6 just 1GB. Another powerful feature will be the camera. With a 21-MP camera lens, the Xperia Z4 is going to sit in the class of the high-end Nokia Lumias. There will be a 5MP secondary camera with 1080p video recording capability.
The smartphone will be available in 32GB and 64GB internal storage with expansion capacity up to 128GB. There are rumours that the phone is going to be water resistant up to 1 meter in water.
There is no information about battery backup, which has been an area of problem with Sony for some time. But the device will feature Quick Charge 2.0 for faster charging.
The Sony Xperia Z4 will be available in two colour options – white and black. Loaded with so many powerful features, the new Xperia seems to be an even better bet than the latest Galaxies and iPhones.
