Is Apple Planning an iPhone 7 Next Year?
The success story of iPhone 6 hasn’t subsided and Apple is rumoured to be working on the iPhone 7, to be released in 2015 or next year. Rumours about iPhone 6S and iPhone 6C are already in the air, but any information of iPhone 7 is both unanticipated and significant.
Amid reports that Apple may be planning a series of secondary iPhones including iPhone 6S, 6S Plus and 6C, new speculations are that Apple will stick to its one-iPhone-per-year formula to maintain its brand value. So Apple fans can expect to see the iPhone 6S release before the holiday season. The iPhone 7 may be pushed to 2016.
What could be new under the hood of the iPhone 7? Some critics claim that Apple could introduce Intel’s wireless modem chips in the next-gen iPhone. Besides, there will be more RAM, which has long been anticipated by the fans. Apple has continued to stick with relatively lower RAM for many years. Even the camera continues to field nothing more than an 8-megapixel lens.
Both Apple and Samsung have created a secondary series of their flagship brands. While the Cupertino-based company released a series of iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, the Korean giant unveiled a number of Galaxies including A5, E5, A7, E7 and several others. Apple even explored new boundaries by playing with solid colours on the lines of the Microsoft Lumia experiments.
The iPhone 6S is said to have a new TouchID sensor and a better touchscreen tech known as the Force Touch. The Force Touch was designed for Apple Watch. Apple is likely to do nothing more than improving the 8MP camera – no enhancement in pixelation perhaps.
There is no official confirmation or indication from the tech giant. Until then, all this information can be considered as nothing more than tech-world buzz.
